Rainbow Trout

Introduction

Rainbow trout are native to the North Pacific Ocean from the Amur River in eastern Asia across the Kamchatka Peninsula and down to northern Mexico.

They have been introduced to other countries including the UK. They are now included among the world's top 100 worst invasive species as they can displace native trout. They are native to California and Alaska, but in other US states they are considered invasive.
