COLOUR CLASH STARTS TODAY! This year’s theme… BOARD GAME BONANZA! Want to know why? Communities that play together, stay together.
This year, Colour Clash will run from October 16th to the 23rd. There will be spirit casual days on October 16th AND October 23rd! So this means that you should wear your Grade’s colour this Friday for Cohort 2 and next Friday for Cohort 1 if you are in the Senior School, and both days in the Middle School!! Please check out the slide deck here for all of the details and information about what to wear, different challenges and more.
So you might be asking… What colour can I wear on casual days and what’s my board game?
Well…
Grade 6 - Team Pink! You’re team Candyland!
Grade 7 - Team Red! You’re team Uno!
Grade 8 - Team Green! You’re team Clue!
Grade 9 - Team Orange! You’re team Settlers of Catan!
Grade 10 - Team Yellow! You’re team Game of Life!
Grade 11 - Team White and Grey! You’re team Monopoly!
Grade 12 - Team Blue! You’re team Pictionary!
Teachers - Team Black! You’re team Chess!
On Monday and Tuesday we will be handing out paper colour bracelets for an extra spirited touch! Middle school will receive their spirit bands in their homerooms, and Senior school can pick their bracelets up at the front door when arriving at school.
This year, each grade will have a Spirit Station.
What is a spirit station?
A spirit station is your grades’ central hub for this year’s COLOUR CLASH. Your spirit station will have a photo booth, a donation box for the “York Scares Hunger” Food Drive, and decorations with your grades’ colour!
You can use the photo booth at your spirit station to participate in events throughout the week. Whether it be taking a picture dressed up head to toe in your grades’ colour, or chanting a cheer for everyone to hear.

You can use this online hub for everything from student life to wellness. For colour clash, the stand will have everything from events to updates and info… So stay tuned!
