Hiiii, I am Kathy Zhang from Grade 10, and this is me ➡️
(in a google meet -_-)
I do most of my artwork on my ipad but some on paper
so here’s four of my art works ⬇️
I’ve been doing art since I was pretty young, I started to learn more specific art when I came to The York School. I am starting to get in touch with more art forms.
As I’ve mentioned, most of my art works are done on my ipad, because I do a lot of anime drawings and also realistic sketches. I also use pencil a lot, I don’t usually do arts with colours, and I’m also not so good at colouring.
In Grade 9, I remember we studied about Albrecht Dürer, I actually really liked his art. He did animal realistic drawings, and a lot of high quality woodcut prints. They are magical. By the way, his signature is sooooo cool.
I have a lot of incomplete artworks, and they’re probably not gonna be completed any time soon. In general, I finish my art work. I may take a break from it (like go watch some Youtube) but I will come back and complete it…
My favourite art quote was from a Netflix movie called “the half of it”. One of the main characters’s art teachers told her that “The difference between a good painting and a great painting is typically five strokes, and they are usually the five boldest strokes in the painting.”
