This gnarled wooden hand can be animated to perform minor tasks.
Animate Hand. [innate] (major) The hand can be animated using a command word. It will carry out verbal commands literally. Each round the possessor can give the hand verbal commands in any language as a minor action and the hand will attempt to comply. If not commanded, the hand will attempt to carry out the previously given command. If it completes a task or no command is given, it will stay in place waiting for a command by the possessor. When the duration ends, the hand will become dormant and cannot be used until after midnight of the current day.

The hand is considered to have a Strength score of 5 and can operate simple mechanisms if leverage exists (when animated, the hand is quite flexible). If the hand takes more than it's hit points in damage, it becomes dormant. The next day it can be animated at full hit points. However, if the hand is subject to fire or acid damage, and it fails its saving throw (if applicable) and this causes it to reach 0 hit points or less, it is destroyed.
