This horn can be used to produce a sonic attack damaging creatures or structures.
If the possessor uses the appropriate command words, the horn can be sounded to produce the following effects.
Sonic Cone. [innate] (major) The horn produces a loud cacophany of sound in a cone 120-ft. long with a terminus of 30-ft. All creatures in the area of effect must make a Dexterity save vs. Wand or take 1d10 sonic damage and become deafened for 4 rounds and stunned for 2 rounds. Creatures that make the save will be deafened for 2 rounds and stunned for 1 round.
Ultrasonic Beam. [complex] The horn produces a beam of powerful ultrasonic waves 1-ft. wide by 100-ft. long. This effect will cause damage to structures or mundane objects made of metal, stone, or wood. Structures or terrain features will take 18 shp (no save). Creatures are unaffected and will be shunted out of the path of the beam (this won't change their positions but could ruin concentration per the GM; gear carried by creatures is unaffected). Typically only one feature or object will absorb the waves per sounding and possibly be destroyed. Examples of structures that can be destroyed: Most doors, castle gates or a drawbridge, a portcullis, a typical cottage, a tree, a small bridge or walkway, etc. Most magical items are immune to the beam (although unattended containers made from crystal or glass will be destroyed).
Each time the horn is sounded using a magical effect, there is a 2% cumulative chance the horn will crack and become mundane (most horns found have been sounded 1d10 times previously).
If used more than once per 24 hours, there is a 10% cumulative chance the horn explodes doing 5d10 damage to the player (no save) and all creatures within a 20-ft. radius must make a Dexterity save vs. Wand or take 2d10 damage (save for half).
