This wand will polymorph creatures affected by it.
This wand can be used in two ways and the mode must be declared when invoking the wand's magic. In addition, the resulting form of the polymorph magic must also be declared. Duration is as per the spell and caster level. The modes are as follows:
Polymorph Other. [invocation] (declared; major; 3 segments) When the appropriate command word for the function is verbalized and the ability is invoked, the wielder make a contact attack against a creature. The wielder can choose a melee contact attack (if the creature is in melee with the wielder) or a ranged contact attack. If ranged, the wand shoots a ray at a target creature in range. The wielder must make a successful ranged contact attack or the beam will miss and could strike another creature in the line of attack (and within range). A creature struck (via touch or ray) must make a save (if unwilling) or be polymorphed as per the spell polymorph other (caster level 6). If the wielder used the ranged attack method (ray), this has the following important limitation—the form must be one of the following as declared by the wielder: a garden snail (1-inch long with shell), a small toad (3-inches long and fat), a large grasshopper (2-inches long), or a corpulent slug (2-inches long). See also a potion of diminution for the effects of extreme size change (vision, etc.). Each use consumes 1 charge.
Polymorph Self. [invocation] (declared; major; 3 segments) When the appropriate command word for the function is verbalized and the ability is invoked, the wielder can use the wand to cast the spell, polymorph self (caster level 6). The caster will have the ability to tuck the wand away before the first form change occurs. Each use consumes 1 charge.
Charges. Wands of this type will have 1d100 charges when found. The wand can be recharged by using an enchant an item ritual.
