This broom can be commanded to fly and can be ridden.
When an attuned possessor uses the command word, the broom, if within 100-ft., will begin to fly. If not adjacent to the attuned possessor, the broom will fly to the possessor.
A broom of flying flies at a base speed of 300-ft. per round (Class C; can climb or dive at a maximum of 30-degrees). It can carry a rider (or attached objects) up to 180-lbs. but weight over this will slow the broom's speed by 10-ft. per 15-lbs. (or fraction thereof) over 180-lbs. The broom must fly at a minimum of half-speed (base speed plus any adjustment for weight) or it will stop functioning for 1 round.
An untrained humanoid possessor can ride the broom as a major action each round (holding on with both limbs), otherwise, they must make a Dexterity save vs. Petrify or fall off each round the broom moves (save avoids). Training can be done by spending at least 3 hours each day riding the broom for 20 days (these do not need to be contiguous). Once trained, the rider can ride the broom as a minor action and their limbs can engage in other activities (melee, magical device activation, etc.). Using missile weapons can be done as per the fly spell, with the following limitations: the rider cannot use a long bow or load a heavy crossbow. Riders cannot cast spells.
Creatures not relatively humanoid in shape or those larger than man-sized cannot ride the broom unless ruled otherwise by the GM (e.g. a cat on the rider's lap).
Overland Travel. Assuming 10 hours of semi-continuous travel, a broom can be ridden by a trained rider at an average speed of 10 mph. or up to 100 miles per day. Untrained riders will achieve less than that per the GM. Long periods of riding may become very uncomfortable and could require rest at the end of the journey.
The broom requires 24 hours of being carried to attune itself to a possessor (and will not function until it is attuned).
