This ring grants the wearer the ability to walk on liquid as if it were stable, dry ground.
Once donned, the ring communicates it's ability of water walking to the wearer.
A ring of water walking allows the wearer to walk normally on liquid or very wet surfaces (like mud or snow). The wearer does not actually contact the surface, but remains an inch or so above it (forming depressions).
Thus, even running water or sloshing waves can be walked upon without being carried away by the current. The wearer treats such surfaces as normal even ground.
The ring works even if the wearer is unconscious.
This works over a variety of liquid surfaces, oil, or even lava (although no heat protection is offered).
Horizontal wet, slippery surfaces may be traversed normally.
The ring will immediately fail for 1d6 rounds if the wearer and anything carried or attached exceeds 1,200 lbs (any weight carried or attached over the wearer's overloaded amount means the wearer cannot move and is immobile).
Falling on liquid surfaces is as if falling on stone.
