Parley. [parley] (declared; minor, time spent speaking)
If meaning can be gotten across, and the GM determines a creature is open to discourse, an encounter reaction check may be rolled to determine initial attitude. This can occur at the beginning of the round before any actions have been taken. If the reaction is not immediately obvious, a delay must be taken by those with HIGH initiative to gauge reaction. Creatures can parley after the first round, although this is typically only done if one side has lost morale. See Social Interaction.
Speak. [simple]
A creature can speak any time during combat as a minor action. Characters can shout information to each other—and the GM will assume any discourse between players is of this type. A creature can speak while performing any action other than spell casting.
