This pot of paints contains a swirl of colors. Anything painted becomes real.
Paint Mural. [complex] (concentration) A trained painter can use the pot of paints to paint a mural on any solid surface using a standard brush. The painter can switch colors while concentrating. Whatever is painted becomes a real object in three dimensions. This process takes 10 rounds. Creatures depicted will not be animate in any way. If an open area is depicted, any material previously there will vanish magically. Individual objects can be depicted. Precious materials will appear precious but will be fakes. Mundane gear can be created including food and liquid, up to a value of 2,000 g.p. Complex items may require training in there construction or an example available for study, per the GM. Anything created is real but mundane (and cannot be dispelled, the magic effect is instantaneous). Creating an open area filled with other objects is possible but any objects created reduce the overall area. If creating a duplicate of a unique item, the item must be available for study or the painter must be very familiar with it. Examples include:
Painting a 5-ft. wide corridor ending in a door. If there is a space behind the door, it becomes accessible.
Painting an opened door with hinges and a doorway around a 10-ft. wide corridor. The door can be closed. If an expert in locks is nearby (or is the painter), the painter can add a lock. Otherwise, a bar can be painted.
Painting a 10-ft. wide by 10-ft. deep pit.
Painting a set of arrow slits.
Painting a ladder.
If used by one not trained in painting, the GM may assign a failure chance based on what is being depicted (10-50%). Failure may take the form of objects not working as intended or looking strange.
If the surface being painted is magical or is part of the area of effect of a spell, anything painted will not become real (the painting fails).
Only mundane objects can be created.
If a creature (an inanimate body) is created, it is only a husk and has no organs or typical internal structures. Thus, under the skin will be found only strange fibrous matter keeping its shape. Making a duplicate of an individual follows the rules for duplicating objects and the GM will always assign a chance for close observation by anyone with familiarity to detect that the body is false.
