Folding Boat

This wooden box will magically unfold into two differently sized boats.

A folding boat is typically found as a simple wood box, 12-inches long by 6-inches wide and deep. This box has normal hinges and can hold items that would normally fit within it (wands, scrolls, vials, or other items).

However, the box will respond to two command words that cause it to transform into a boat:

• • The first command word causes the item to transform into a rowboat.

  • The second command word causes the item to transform into a keelboat.

A third command word will cause the item to transform back into a box.

If the boat is destroyed or broken in any of its forms, the item's magic fails and it becomes a broken mundane object matching the current (damaged) form.
