This potion causes the imbiber and their gear to shrink.
The imbiber and their gear shrinks to 5% of normal size for the duration of the potion. Thus, a 6-ft. tall human becomes 3.6-inches tall.
The imbiber's gear shrinks at the same ratio such that it is still usable.
If desired, the imbiber can select one piece of gear that does not shrink.
EFFECTS OF AN ENTIRE POTION
Actual effects are per the GM but guidelines are as follows.
If on the ground, the imbiber can only see out to 30-ft.
The imbiber is very difficult to hear and can only be noted without a hear noise check by a creature in an adjacent square (of 5-ft.) unless wearing plated armor which doubles this range. (This limitation includes talking or spell casting, although shouting may be heard if within 10-ft).
The imbiber is difficult to see whether through infravision or normal vision. Until the imbiber is spotted, the imbiber can remain undetected, even if attacking with magic items or spells. Each time the imbiber performs an action that would give away their location, they will remain undetected 70% of the time (d%; 01-70; a 71+ indicates the imbiber has been spotted). Once spotted, the creature spotting the imbiber can give the location to it's allies.
The imbiber cannot do damage using physical attacks (unless attacking tiny creatures, per the GM).
The imbiber can use spells and innate abilities at normal range with the limitations to line of sight (as per above).
If an imbiber cannot fly or climb surfaces, moving around on uneven surfaces (e.g. a cave floor or even a flight of stairs) could be difficult to impossible.
The imbiber's speed becomes 5-ft. per round if normally less than 120-ft.; 10-ft per round if 120-ft. to 180-ft., 15-ft. per round if 181-ft. to 240-ft., and 20-ft. per round if over 240-ft. If flying, the movement rate may be doubled or more per the GM.
The imbiber takes one-quarter falling damage.
The imbiber and their gear shrinks to 50% of normal size for the stated duration (there is no loss of duration). Thus, a 6-ft. tall human becomes 3-ft. tall.
The imbiber's gear shrinks at the same ratio such that it is still usable.
If desired, the imbiber can select one piece of gear that does not shrink.
EFFECTS OF A SINGLE DOSE
Weapons use the next lower die for damage (i.e. a 1d8 becomes a 1d6).
The imbiber's Strength score is reduced 1 for every 3-ft. of height lost. Encumbrance effects remain unchanged (due to shrinking gear).
The imbiber's base speed is reduced by 30-ft.
Humanoids of the appropriate height, may, based on appearance, be mistaken for dwarves, gnomes, or halflings (or goblins).
