This 10-ft. square net is made of a strange metallic mesh. It can be commanded to ensnare creatures underwater.
Envelop Creature. [innate or missile] The possessor can use the net as a missile weapon, throwing the net up to 30-ft. through the water (with no attack roll necessary). The target must make a Dexterity save vs. Wand or be enveloped (save avoids and the net sinks to the bottom; there is no attached line). The possessor can instead spread the net on the floor or a flat shelf and, when the possessor uses a command word, the net will attempt to envelop any one creature standing on it or swimming directly over it (within 30-ft.). The possessor can cause the net to release an enveloped creature using a command word.
Enveloped creatures are hindered, entangled, and restrained.
The net does not sport hooks and does not do damage.
Those within the net cannot slip out from it using a delaying activity unless they possess a Strength score of 20 or higher (or the equivalent).
Any creature attempting to cut the net must actually hack at it with a slashing or chopping weapon (sawing attempts fail, although biting may work if the attack hits). The net is DR/+1 and is considered AC -10 (as weapons tend to skitter off of it and it slips in between teeth). Any miss has a 50% chance of hitting the enveloped creature unless the enveloped creature is doing the hacking. The net otherwise has 20 hit points. If cut, the net becomes mundane (and can be slipped off as would a regular net).
The wielder of the net does not require any proficiency to wield it as long as the command words are known.
