Packaging Requests Summary:
Packaging requests allow distributors to request seed packaging from their partner processors
Packaging requests can be sent from the Packaging Requests tab under the Network menu (Network → Packaging Requests → Sent Packaging Requests) by clicking the + button.
The Packaging Request screen will appear where you can enter the details about the packaging request.
Fields appearing in pink are mandatory, and must be entered.
Partner: Choose the partner that you want to send the request to.
Lot: Choose the inventory lot that you want to request packaging for.
Packaging Type: Select the type of packaging that is being requested.
The available options are Tote and Bag Pallet.
Selecting Tote will show two extra fields
Tote Size: The quantity for each tote per unit of measure
Tote Count: Number of Totes
Selecting Bag Pallet will show three extra fields
Bag Size: The quantity for each bag per unit of measure
Bag Count: The number of Bags per Bag Pallet
Pallet Count: The number of Bag Pallets
Unit of Measure: Choose the unit of measure for the quantity.
Comments: This can be used to include any additional comment/note with the packaging request.
There are additional Checkboxes available to include in the packaging requirements. Such as:
Label Outside of bag with lot Number and variety
Strapping
CSGA Tag
Seed Treatment Tag
Seed Details Tag
To Complete and send the packaging request, click Save.
The request will be sent to the partner that was selected on the request. They will receive an email notification and it will appear under the Received Packaging Requests tab in their account.
The status of your sent packaging request can be viewed from the from the Packaging Requests tab under the Network menu (Network → Packaging Requests → Sent Packaging Requests)
If you receive a packaging request from a distributor, you will receive an email and the request will appear on your REQUESTS page (Network → Requests→ Packaging Requests → Received Packaging Requests)
To Accept the packaging request, click the checkmark beside the request.
To Deny the processing request, click the X beside the request.
If the packaging request is accepted.
You can complete the request by clicking the Complete Packaging request button under actions.
You can also view the details of the packaging request by clicking the View Packaging Request Details button
