Work Order

Work Order Counter Type: 

This setting determines when the work order counter resets.

• Ongoing: The counter increments continuously with each new work order (e.g., 0001, 0002, 0003...) and never resets.

• Annual: The counter increments throughout the year and then resets to its starting value at the beginning of each new calendar year.

Work Order ID Format

Define the custom format for new work order IDs by combining text with the placeholders below.

• Requirement: 

  • The format must include the {count} placeholder. 

  • The format must be validated before it can be saved.

Example: To create an ID like WO25-00001G, you would enter the format: WO{yy}-{count}{T}

Placeholder Description Example

{count} The auto-incrementing work 00001

order number.

{yy} Two-digit year. 25

{mm} Two-digit month (zero-padded). 09

{m} Abbreviated month name. Sep

{dd} Two-digit day (zero-padded). 25

{d} Abbreviated day name. Thu

{T} A single letter for the Work G
