To access the RETAIL PRODUCTS screen: Go to the PRODUCT MASTER menu → RETAIL PRODUCTS screen
Click Add Retail Product.
The Retail Product screen will appear where you can enter the details about the new retail product.
Fields appearing in pink are mandatory, and must be entered:
Name: Enter the appropriate retail product name.
Description: Enter a description for the retail product.
Category: Select a category for the retail product from the drop down list.
Active: This checkbox specifies if the retail product is active or not. By default it will be set to active.
Unit of Measure: S elect a unit of measure to inventory & sell the retail product in.
Standard Price: Enter a price for the retail product per the selected unit of measure.
GST Eligible: If selected the product will have GST applied to it when sold.
Sold By: Select which users have access to sell the retail item.
External Sales Commission: Enter a commission value for external sales users if they sell this retail item (if applicable).
Inventory on Hand: Enter the amount of inventory you currently have for the retail product.
Third Party Customer: Select a third-party customer for this retail product.
Note: Third-party retail products cannot be sold.
Note: For third-party lot customers to appear in this list, they need to exist in your customer list.
Weight: Enter the physical weight of the retail product.
Note: For retail products with a recorded weight, the pickup Bill of Lading (BOL) will include that weight.
Weight Unit of Measure: Select the unit of measure of the entered weight.
To complete the retail product creation, click Save.
The retail product will now appear on the RETAIL PRODUCTS page and is ready to receive inventory.
