INVENTORY LOTS can be added from the seed crop details screen. To access the SEED CROP FIELD DETAILS screen: Go to the TRACEABILITY menu → SEED CROP FIELDS screen → VIEW SEED CROP FIELD DETAILS
PRE-REQUISITE: To create an inventory lot from a seed crop record, an eligible product must already be created on the products screen.

Click the tab for the seed crop record you want to add an inventory lot for.
Click Add inventory lot from seed crop record.
The Inventory Lot screen will appear where you can enter the details about the new inventory lot.
Fields appearing in pink are mandatory, and must be entered.
Note- Some fields are already populated with information from the seed crop record and cannot be changed.
Year: This displays the crop year, pre-populated from the seed crop record.
Product: Select the product the inventory lot is for.
Note- This list will only display products that match the variety on the seed crop record.
Sequence #: The sequence number from the crop inspection, this is pre-populated from the seed crop record.
Crop Cert #: The crop certificate from the seed crop record, this is pre-populated from the seed crop record.
Lot #: Enter the lot # to be assigned to the new lot.
Contract Grower: This field displays if the lot has a contract grower. This is pre-populated from the seed crop record and will use the contract grower from it.
Third Party Lot: Specify if the lot is a third party lot owned lot. Selecting this checkbox will allow you to specify the owner of the lot.
Contract Customer: Specify if this lot is going to be used for contract production. If so, select the owner of the lot (the company you have the contract with).
Accounting Code: Enter your accounting code or select one from the drop down menu. The drop down menu is populated by codes that are used on your other inventory lots. The full list of accounting codes can be found in the company settings.
Accounting Inventory Value $: Enter the accounting inventory value amount.
Use Lot Unit Price?: Select this checkbox if the inventory lot should use a different price than the product it's associated with.
Active: This checkbox specifies if the lot is active or not. By default it will be set to active.
Comments: Enter any comments to keep with the inventory lot.
To complete the lot creation, click Save.
You will then be taken to the Inventory Lot Details page for the lot.

Viewing Inventory Lots Made From Seed Crop Records
On the SEED CROP FIELD DETAILS page, click the seed crop record the inventory lot you want to view was made from.
Near the bottom of the screen you'll see a list of all the inventory lots that were created from that seed crop record.
