Add an external sales user profile
External User Profiles Summary:
External sales users need to have a user profile to be able to log in to Seedtrakr.
External sales user profiles have very limited access to your Seedtrakr data. They can view products that have been configured for them to be able to see and they can add bookings for their customer account.
Non-Broker external sales users have access to the customers screen and can see only the customers they have been assigned to.
How do I set up an external sales user profile?
To add a new user profile to your company:
Go to Admin, select User Profiles.
Click Add User Profile.
Fields appearing in Pink are Mandatory, and must be entered.
Fill out the necessary details for the new user account.
Name: Enter the new user's name.
Email: Enter the user's email address that they will use to log into Seedtrakr.
Role: Select external_sales from the role list
NOTE: The user role cannot be changed once set for an external sales account. Please ensure that you have the information entered correctly.
Assign Customers (not a broker): Check this box if you want the new user to be able to be assigned to multiple customer accounts (not a broker), leave it unchecked if you want them to be a broker (single customer account).
NOTE: See the difference between brokers and non broker external sales user accounts here.
Active: Leave this box checked if the user account is active, by default all new accounts are set to active.
When complete, click Save. The user will then be sent an email with instructions on how to log into Seedtrakr.
