Add an external sales customer account (Brokers)
(Broker) External User Profiles Summary:
External sales users must have a customer account created that is linked to their user profile to be able to create bookings in Seedtrakr.
External sales users are linked to one customer account only, they can only add and view bookings for this customer account.
If you also make direct sales to this customer, then you will need two separate customer accounts. One for direct sales and another external sales customer account. This is because all sales that go through an external sales person customer are considered sold by the external sales person and discounts and commissions to this customer account will apply.
How do I set up an external sales customer account?
To add an external sales customer account:
Go to Sales, select Customers.
Click Add Customer.
Add the user account details
Towards the bottom of the screen you will see a few options:
Is External Sales Account: Check this box if you wish to set up the customer account as an external sales account.
Sales Person: Select the external sales person from the list. This list will contain all of the user profiles set up as an external sales person.
Set the account up for either auto discounts or commission based sales.
Apply Auto Discount: Use this option if you would like to give the customer a % discount for each sale.
Discount From Commission: Use this option if you would like to give the customer a discount based on the commission value for each product or service sale.
If you do not want to give an automatic discount % or discount commission, then do not check either of these boxes.
Set your notification preferences.
Email Admins On Booking Changes: Use this option if you would like to receive email notifications when booking are added or edited by this external sales person.
