Set up your products and services for external sales use
External Sales Products & Services Summary:
Products, services & retail products are only accessible to external sales users if the sold by option on them is set to any or external.
Products, services & retail products that have internal set on them will not be available to external sales users.
Existing products can be modified to specify who should have access to them (you don't need separate products).
Commission values set on each item are tracked and can be automatically deducted from sales invoices if preferred.
Setting up products for external sales use
Go to Product Master, select Products.
Click Edit.
Navigate to the bottom of the dialog and set your sold by values:
All - This means that all users, including external sales can see this item.
Internal - This means that only internal sales can see this item.
External - This means that the item is intended only for external sales to sell.
Set your commission value for the product.
Once completed, click Save. The product will be updated with the new settings.
Setting up services for external sales use
Go to Product Master, select Services.
Click edit.
Navigate to the bottom of the dialog and set your sold by values:
All - This means that all users, including external sales can see this item.
Internal - This means that only internal sales can see this item.
External - This means that the item is intended only for external sales to sell.
Set your commission value for the service.
Once completed, click Save. The service will be updated with the new settings.
Setting up retail products for external sales use
Go to Product Master, select Retail Products.
Click edit .
Navigate to the bottom of the dialog and set your sold by values:
All -This means that all users, including external sales can see this item.
Internal - This means that only internal sales can see this item.
External - This means that the item is intended only for external sales to sell.
Set your commission value for the retail product.
Once completed, click Save. The retail product will be updated with the new settings.
