Addding a Seed Variety
To access the SEED VARIETIES screen: Go to the PRODUCT MASTER menu → SEED VARIETIES screen
PRE-REQUISITE: Before you can enter your seed varieties, you must first enter your seed supplier information. Refer to sub-section: adding a seed supplier.
Click Add Seed Variety.
The Seed Variety screen will appear where you can enter the details about the new seed variety.
Fields appearing in pink are mandatory, and must be entered:
Variety: The name of the variety to be added.
Variety Use Agreement (VUA): Check this box if the variety has a variety use agreement.
MTW: Check this box if the variety is a midge tolerant wheat variety.
Note: If either the VUA or MTW checkboxes are selected, you can generate the Sales By Variety/Supplier report to view all sales of either of these categories of varieties for reporting purposes.
Active: This checkbox specifies if the variety is active or not. By default it will be set to active.
Crop Type: Select the crop type that corresponds to the seed variety from the drop down list.
Seed Supplier: Select the appropriate seed supplier for the variety from the drop down list.
To complete the seed variety creation, click Save.
The seed variety will now appear on the SEED VARIETIES page and will be available for selection when creating products.
