VBI View Mode

To access the VISUAL BIN INVENTORY screen: Go to the INVENTORY menu → VISUAL BIN INVENTORY screen

The default mode on the VBI is View Mode. If you're not in view mode it can be set by clicking the View button in the screen actions. In view mode you can perform the following actions on storage locations:

1. Adjust inventory (Bulkseed & Bag locations).

2. Specify if empty storage locations have been cleaned & are ready for new product (Bulkseed locations).

3. Specify if a bin has a fan and if the fan is on or off.

4. Record bin timings.

5. Preform pickups.

Adjusting Inventory

Note: Inventory adjustments can only be performed on bulkseed or bagseed locations.

1. Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


2. Click Adjust Inventory.


3. Perform the inventory adjustment (For more information on adjusting inventory see the adjusting inventory section).

When you're done, click Save. The inventory in the storage location will be updated according to the adjustment.

Specify if a bin has been cleaned

This feature allows you to mark bins as clean after they've been emptied so you can easily keep track of which bins have been cleaned.

Note: You can only set empty bins to clean.

1. Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


2. Click Edit Bin.


3. Set the "Is the Bin clean" setting to yes, click Save.


4. The storage location will now display the following icon to indicate the bin is clean. This will remain until new inventory is received into the location.


Edit bin fan settings

This feature allows you to set if a bin has a fan and if the fan is On or Off.

Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


Click Edit Bin.


Bins have the following fan options that can be edited:

  • Does the bin have a fan?: Select yes or no.

  • Is the fan on?: Select yes or no.

Note: This option is only available if the bin has a fan.

Click Save.


Adding comments to storage locations

This feature allows you to view and add comments to storage locations.

Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


Click Comments.


In here you can view a log of previous comments or enter a new comment below by typing in the New Comment box, click Save.



To remove old comments, click Delete.

Adding bin timings to storage locations

Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


Click Bin Timings.


The Edit Bin Timing Box will appear. Enter the timing and the unit of measure for the timing.

Once completed click Save.

The bin timing will now be visible in the VBI tooltip on the bin. This can be viewed in the timing log by returning to the bin timing screen, click on the Timing Log.


Adding a pickup

This feature allows you to complete pickups from the VBI.

Note: This can only be done on locations that have inventory in them and bookings must be first created from the bookings screen.

Click on the ... in the top right corner of the storage location card.


Click Pickup in the bin information screen.


Select a booking from the drop down menu of Bookings.

Once a booking is selected you'll have the option to select an existing open pickup to add to or you can add a new pickup to the booking.

Select Add Pickup. You'll then be taken to the pickup details screen to complete the selected booking pickup.
