14. Urgent Cargus Integration

  • Starting with version 13.10, it is possible to ingrate SocrateCloud with the Cargus application, via the SocrateCloud Rapid Purchase Delivery component. This involves sending/receiving the following documents from SocrateCloud/Cargus Application: Delivery Note (generated and sent from SocrateCloud);

  • Label for printing (various pdf formats for labels corresponding to the Delivery Note taken from Cargus);

  • Cargus AWB slip for printing (pdf format taken from Cargus).

Initial Setup

Define the shipper in the Shipper window, found in the Product Setup menu.

Go to the Cargus Interface Configuration window, found in Cargus -> Setup, and enter the data required to connect to the Cargus application (the data is supplied by the shipper) as such:

  • Freight Carrier - select the shipper;

  • User ID, Password , Account - enter the data required to connect to the application of the selected freight carrier.

ApplicabilityWhen completing the shipments with Shipper - Shipment Method and Cargus - Transport, the Generate Delivery Note button will be activated. In order to generate the transport note:

  • The user operating the shipment must have defined a telephone number;

  • The organization on the processed shipment must have defined an address (the city and the postal code) in the Organization Info tab of the Organization window;

  • The address of the Business Partner on the shipment must contain the Region, City and Postal Code;

  • The shipment must contain a User/Contact for the customer;

  • The regions must have the Locode field in the Region tab of the Country Region & City window filled in.

Fill in the fields in the Delivery Note as such:

  • Ship To Location - automatically filled in with the Location from the Shipment;

  • Contact Person - automatically filled in with the User/Contact from the shipment;

  • Ship Date - automatically filled in with the current date;

  • Envelope - select this checkbox for those transport notes corresponding to letters shipments;

  • No. Packages - enter the number of packages;

  • Content - alpha-numerical field with data regarding the content of the package;

  • Contact Phone - enter the telephone number of the contact person;

  • Contact Email Address - enter the e-mail of the contact person;

  • Shipment Type - select either Express or Matinal from the list;

  • Shipment Payer - select the person responsible with paying for the transport from the list;

  • Weight -

    • Shipper Reference - (v17.04) the text entered there will be printed on the AWB in the Observation section;

  • Cash On Delivery - selecth this checkbox if the package has delivery payment;

  • Cash On Delivery Method - select the payment method for the delivery payment;

  • Insurance and Insured Value - information regarding the package insurance;

  • Return Signed WayBill

  • Saturday Delivery

  • Return Other Documents and Documents to return

The Delivery Note will be generated in pdf format so it can be printed. The label corresponding to the Transport Note (pdf) will be attached to the Shipment. The AWB number will be written on the Shipment in the Tracking No field. You can generate multiple delivery notes from one shipment, if you are sending letters together with the package (separately, with accompanying documents).

The Delivery Note can be voided. To do this, you need to click on the Cancel Delivery Note button which will only be activated once a Delivery Note has been generated.

The generated Delivery Notes can be printed as a slip by using the Retrieve Cargus AWB Slip process, found in the Cargus menu.
