20.3. Marketing Campaigns

Maintaining customer relationships represents a crucial goal for any company. SocrateCloud helps by enabling you to create messages or requests that the telemarketing team can track. The criteria used to determine the success of a campaign can be any of the following: last sale, sales volume, acquired products or any other combination of factors.

The efficiency of marketing campaigns can be measured based on the profit generated by each of them, by creating links between each separate transaction and the corresponding campaign, the moment you issue an invoice. The campaign data will be available in SocrateCloud for reporting and analysis.

You can define marketing campaigns in the Marketing Campaign window, located in the Quote-to-Invoice -> Sales and Marketing menu. The following fields are available:

  • Search key, Name, Description

  • Summary Level - check if the entity is used to as a parent for other entities, used for reporting;

  • Start Date, End Date - the campaign's running interval;

  • Channel - marketing channel corresponding to the campaign. The available options can be defined in the Marketing Channel window, located in the Quote-to-Invoice -> Sales and Marketing menu;

  • Costs - total value for the expenses associated with the marketing campaign;

Action section - the marketing campaign definition window allows the users to send electronic messages to the contacts associated with the campaign or to the leads used to select the campaign:

  • In order to add contacts to the defined marketing campaign, click on the Add contact button and depending on the contacts you wish to inform regarding the campaign, fill in the available fields. The generated records will retrieve the data from the Contact (User) tab of the Business Partner window;

    • the process parameters represent search filters for the SocrateCloud contacts/users: Business Partner, City, Region, Interest Areas etc.

    • The associated contacts will be displayed in the Contact tab;

  • In order to send electronic messages, use the Send mail button and fill in the following fields:

    • Mail Template - the template for the sent message, predefined in the Mail Template window found in the Partner Relations -> Business Partner Rules menu;

    • From User - the sender of the message, defined as a user in the system;

    • The mail recipients: contacts or leads:

      • Send To Contacts - the email will be sent to the associated contacts;

      • Send To Lead - the leads associated to the campaign are displayed in the Lead tab;

  • The contacts associated to a marketing campaign can also be erased by clicking on the Delete contact button. Depending on the contacts you wish to delete, fill in the following fields:

    • Business Partner Group, Business Partner, User/Contact - selection filters for the contacts that will be erased;

    • Delete All - if checked the process will erase all the associated contacts

    • Note: the process will not delete any user/contact records, just the associations with the marketing campaign;

MailChimp section (MailChimp application integration) - not available in the current SocrateCloud version.

After having been defined, the marketing campaign can be selected on the documents as an analisys dimension.
