7.4.1. Price List Update with Maximum WAC Process

Define the Price Schema

Follow the path Product Setup -> Price List Setup -> Discount Schema and define a schema with the following characteristics:

• Discount Type: select Pricelist;

Run the Price List Update with Maximum WAC Process

The Price List Update with Maximum WAC Process, found in Product Setup -> Price List Setup, can be run manually, by filling in the fields:

• Accounting Schema - select the schema (either for a single organization, or a consolidated schema for a group of organizations)

• Organization - select the organization for which the WAC is determined;

• Price List Version - choose the price list version that was linked to the discount schema created at point 1.

• Price List Line tab:

  • List price Base - select List Price;

  • List price Discount % - enter the percentage that will be applied to the WAC, with minus (e.g. -5 if you want to add 5% to the WAC);

  • Standard price Base - select Standard Price;

  • Standard price Discount % - enter the percentage that will be applied to the WAC, with minus (e.g. -5 if you want to add 5% to the WAC);

  • Limit price Base - select Limit (PO) price.

The process can also be run automatically, at a pre-defined frequency, by adding it to the scheduler (see Application Server Administration).

After running the process, the following fields will be updated in the price list:

• • • Limit Price = Maximum WAC at tenant level, where the quantity >0;

• • Standard, List Prices = Limit Price + a percentage (minimum mark-up from the price schema),

with the following considerations:

• Only the prices of the products that have been selected according to the rule established in the Price Schema of the Price List Version will be updated:

  • If, in the Discount (Price) Schema, there are Price List Lines that have had the Exclusions tab completed, then the prices for the following products will be updated:

    • all the products, except those stated in the Exclusions tab;

      • out of these, only the products where there are differences between the Limit Price and the maximum WAC at tenant level, where the quantity >0.

• Exclusions tab :

  • Product Category: select the product category for which you do not wish to update the prices, or

  • Product: enter the product for which you do not wish to update the price.

The schema thus created, is associated to the price list that will be updated by the Price List Update with Maximum PMP process, by selecting it in the Discount Schema field found in the Version tab of the Price List window.
