For any product, a price list version contains the following price types: List Price, Standard Price, Limit Price. These can be viewed in the Product window, Price tab or on a price list, at product price level. The following fields are available:
Price List Version - the price list version containing the price information;
Product - the product for which you enter the price information;
Currency - currency in which the price is calculated;
UOM (v16.06) - unit of measure, for which the product price applies to;
Active - indicates if the record is active in the system;
Price Includes Tax - indicates if the price includes taxes (usually VAT). This is known as the gross price. When processing an order or an invoice, SocrateCloud will calculate how much of the total price is represented by the taxes, and will do this by looking at the invoice/order lines;
List Price - used for the customers who receive discounts. For this price type, you can may select a checkbox to print the discount amount on the invoice or the order.
Standard Price - a product's default price.
Limit Price - represents a lower price limit which, if exceeded, will make the system return an error message. The limit price can be used to check the final purchase prices after discounts, deductions, etc.
The following fields are available if the Offer component has been installed:
List Price UOM Offer, Standard Price UOM Offer and Limit Price UOM Offer contain price values used for offers, and are calculated using the the Offer UOM selected at product level (the Offer component is required).
Vendor (system maintained) - contains the name of the product vendor (from the Product window, Purchasing tab);
Attribute Value 1,2,3 (system maintained) - the fields contain the values for the first three product attributes, with the Price List checkbox selected at their definition (the Offer component is required).
The Pricing Ext component allows you to define multiple standard prices, up to five, applicable for specific quantity intervals. For a tenant, only one of the two available pricing models can be used, depending on the component state:
inactive - product price information will available in the Price tab, Product window;
active - product price information will be available in the Price Ext tab, Product window.
These prices can be managed in the Price Ext tab from the Product window or in the Product Price Ext tab from the price list version.
Price List Version - the price list version containing the price information;
Product - the product for which you enter the price information;
UOM (v16.06) - unit of measure, for which the product price applies to;
Price (1-5) - enter the product prices when the product quantity is greater than the value entered in the respective Threshold field;
Threshold (1-5) - when the product quantity is greater than the value entered here the product price will be the value entered in the respective Price field. If the product quantity is less than the value entered in Threshold 1 the product will have no price.
Limit Price - represents a lower price limit which, if exceeded, will make the system return an error message. The limit price can be used to check the final purchase prices after discounts, deductions, etc.
Optionally, you can enter price information in the International Prices section.
Note: starting with v15.10, the number of price - quantity thresholds that can be defined for a product has been increased to 12.
The Direct Supplier Prices Import process can be used to import "Price Ext" prices to a price list. The process will only allow you to import a maximum of 5 prices and 5 international prices per product.
