How can I change the date and currency formats (decimal symbol etc.), as, for example, when logged in with the English (US) Language, the formats (mm/dd/yyyy) are do not correspond with what I need (yyyy-mm-dd). Where can I find these settings?
Answer: To configure the date format to look like yyyy.mm.dd or yyyy/mm/dd you need to follow the steps:
You need to log into the system with the System Administrator Role.
Open the Languages window in System Admin -> General Rules -> Languages.
In the Languages window, select the language in which you wish to make this particular date format appear (e. g. English (USA) ).
In the Date Type field, enter the desired date format.
After completing these changes, run the Cache Reset Client+Server.
Exporting a report (e. g. a Physical Q/V Storage Report with 94159 lines ) in Excel 2007 takes a lot of time.
Answer: The blockage occurs due to the inability of the Client Application to allot more memory. More exactly, the SocrateCloud client, cannot implicitly consume more than 512 MB of RAM Memory on a station, whereas the export to Excel of a report with a large number of lines may take up more than 512 MB RAM memory, and if the application cannot allot this memory, it will stop working.
This problem can be resolved by editing the SocrateOpen.jnlp file, that has been downloaded on the application's start page.
Afer downloading the file, open it with a text editor and edit the following two lines:
Change the initial-heap-size from 256m to 512m;
Change the max-heap-size from 512m to 1536m.
After doing these changes, save the file and open it with Java Web Start and perform the export of the report.
We recommend you use this process on a station that has as much available RAM memory as possible.
When logged in with the English Language selected, the Dispatch Invoice does not get printed in English, whereas, when logged in in Romanian, the Client Invoice does not get printed in Romanian.
Answer: The documents are printed in the Business Partner's language, regardless of the language selected by login.
With all the Quantity-type fields in any of the windows, when I introduce a value (e.g. 20.123), this gets transformed into 20,123 when leaving the field.
Answer: The decimal and thousands separator is identified and is modified according to the language selected at login. For example, if you log in in Romanian, the decimal separator is the comma, so, if you introduce a decimal number with a point, this automatically gets transformed into a comma.
Answer: In order to synchronize the sequences, you need to proceed in the following way: on one for the servers, run the Check Sequence process, while on the rest of them, you have to run the Sequences Cache Reset (in SocrateCloud)
