SocrateCloud offers the possibility to calculate and report the Eco Tax amounts for products sold within a time period, using the following algorithm:
a fixed sum per unit - is paid/calculated for certain products (e.g. TV sets);
a fixed sum per kilogram - paid/calculated for product components.
in SocrateCloud the product categories for which the Eco Tax is paid will be manually defined;
maintaining the Eco Tax attribute will be manually done by an operator for every new product imported (imported products do not contain Eco Tax information);
the Eco Tax will not be printed on the Customer Invoice;
the Eco Tax has no effects in accounting;
the Eco Tax value will only appear on sales reports, which will be sent to a specialized firm which will invoice the company the Eco Tax value;
in the Product window you can search for products with "Has Stock" checked and no value in the "Eco Tax" field so that a user may introduce the Eco Tax in due time.
Taxes can be defined in the Eco Tax window:

Name;
According to the definitions here (Attention: the weight specified is in grams) enter the corresponding values:
UOM - applicable unit of measure;
Net Tax Amount - the amount of the tax excluding VAT;
Tax Amount - the amount of the tax including VAT;
Currency - indicates the currency to be used for the Eco Tax (RON)
Eco Tax - total tax value maintained by the system.
For reporting purposes it is necessary to differentiate products as:
produced (“Purchased” = No, cleared),
imported (“Purchased” = Yes, checked).
Eco Tax is a product attribute;
Eco tax can be selected when defining a product in the Product window.
The Eco Tax value can be calculating using the Eco Tax Declaration report, which contains the following:
Eco Tax;
Product;
Quantity Sold (units) or Weight (total weight for the products sold using the UOM for Weight chosen at Tenant level);
Eco Tax Value - according to the type:
Quantity sold * Tax Value;
Units Sold * Tax Value.
The report contains the following parameters:
Date invoiced - start date/end date used in the report;
Eco Tax - the report is generated for a specific tax type;
Product - the report is generated for a specific product;
UOM to - indicates the destination UOM used in the report.
