SocrateCloud allows you to manage all available countries, regions and cities which can later be used to define addresses for organizations and business partners. They can also be linked to sales regions which are accounting dimensions and will be determined automatically based on the addresses used on documents. SocrateCloud comes with a complete predefined set of countries, regions and cities which can be updated accordingly.
The Country Region and City window is used to define and manage countries in SocrateCloud. The following fields are available:
ISO Country Code, Name, Description
Summary Level - countries can be grouped using trees and summary levels (e.g. Countries with Summary Level checked can represent continents while counties without the checkbox represent actual countries). The tree can be edited through drag&drop using the tree menu on the left side;
Country has Region - if not checked, the "Region" tab will be unavailable, and when defining an address, you will not be able to select a region for the respective country;
Region Name - name used for regions specific to each country (e.g. Judet, Country);
Address Print Format, Local Address Format - the Address Print format defines the format to be used when this address prints. The following notations are used: @C@=City @P@=Postal @A@=PostalAdd @R@=Region;
Reverse Address Lines, Reverse Local Address lines - determines the order of the address elements:
If NOT selected the sequence is Address 1, Address 2, Address 3, Address 4, City/Region/Postal, and Country;
If selected the sequence is Country, City/Region/Postal, Address 4, Address 3, Address 2, and Address 1;
the sequence of City/Region/Postal is determined by the address format;

The Translation tab allows you to define translations for each country, depending on the languages used.
The Sales Region tabs allows you to link countries, regions or towns to sales regions. Details in Sales Regions.
The Region tab is used to define and manage the regions for each country.
The City tab is used to define and manage the cities within each region. The following fields are available:
Country, Region - country and region where the city is located;
Name, ZIP, Area Code, Coordinates - information used to physically identify the town indicated by this record;
Locode - United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations;
SIRUTA - is used by the INS to register location administration units (UAT) within Romania;
Update Siruta button - updates the SIRUTA code for this city based on the records within the "SIRUTA" window, accessible only using a System role;
