The Price Simulator section from the Product window is an interface through which the user can more easily manage sales prices for a product. Prices entered here will be automatically completed on all corresponding price lists.
Discount Schema - if selected the discount/margin fields (2-6) will be initialised accordingly. The Discount/Margin schema can be selected for any product. It should only be used to initialize the discount/margin percentages.
Price (1-7):
Each price (1-7) represents a sales price list.
The price list version is the current one.
The entered prices (1-7) will be written in the price list, the standard prices will be added to the price list allocated in the current version by pressing the Update Prices button.
The Sales Price Lists include VAT.
The rounding is done according to the price list.
All 7 prices are mandatory and they have to be different from 0.
You should create a mapping between Prices 1-7 and the sales price lists!!
Discount (%) (2-7):
The Discount/Margin fields are of percentage-type.
These fields are editable and display the first two decimals.
The values in these fields can be:
Entered manually;
Initialized and updated as a selection of a discount schema (after selecting the scheme and leaving the Discount Schema field);
Calculated as a follow up of the modifications done to the price fields, after leaving the Price field.
The Discount % field is calculated as P1/P2 (e.g. Discount 2= P1/P2, Discount 6=P1/P6).
Margin (%) (1-7) - ReadOnly fields. Automatically updated when modifying the current cost or the sales prices. The Margin % field is calculated based on current cost value (Margin n (%) = ( Price n (%) - Current Cost ) / Curent Cost, where n is the price list number;
Save Prices - the button starts a process that adds prices to the allocated price lists in the current version at the date the process is run.
Nume schema discount - if you enter a name in this field, then the Discount/Margin schema will be saved with the percentages specific to each field.
Price includes Tax - if selected, the cost will include the VAT. The VAT rate used in the calculation is the default one from the product tax category;
Current Cost - always the biggest cost (from cost queue) with quantity different from 0 and that also includes the corresponding landed cost;
Cost unitar curent mediu - informative value, updated using the Get product cost process.
