You can define restrictions for the products and and quantities that can be entered on sales orders. The restrictions are defined at product level, for each product-customer combination, using the Product window, Business Partner tab. The following fields are available:
Product, Customer - on sales order lines, the restrictions will apply for this product - customer combination;
Generally Valid - if checked, the restrictions will apply for every customer, except for the customers for which specific restrictions were defined (records without "Generally Valid" checked);
UOM - base product unit of measure;
Partner Product Key (informative) - the number used by the business partner for this product. It can be printed on orders and invoices when you include the Product Key in the print format.
Partner Category (informative) - the category used by the business partner for this product;
Manufacturer (informative) - the product manufacturer (used if different from the Business Partner / Vendor);
Quality Rating (informative) - indicates how a vendor is rated (higher number = higher quality);
Min Shelf Life % - indicates the Minimum Shelf Life of products with Guarantee Date instance expressed as a percentage. If > 0 you cannot select products with a shelf life ((Guarantee Date-Today) / Guarantee Days) less than the minimum shelf life;
Min Shelf Life Days - indicates the Minimum Shelf Life of products with Guarantee Date instance expressed in number of days. If > 0 you cannot select products with a shelf life (Guarantee Date-Today) less than the minimum shelf life;
Options section:
Order UOM, Shipment UOM (informative) - the actual unit of measure used when ordering and shipping the product (no product unit of measure conversion is necessary);
Note: if product conversions were defined between the base UOM and the respective UOM's above, they must be equal to the values entered in the conversion fields below;
Order UOM Conversion, Ship UOM Conversion - both the minimum quantity and the order quantity must be multiples of both these values;
Minimum Order Qty Base UOM - minimum quantity (quantity ordered) allowed on the sales order;
Invoice UOM, Invoice UOM Conversion (informative) - not implemented in the current version;
Notes:
the restrictions do not apply to return sales orders or to negative quantities;
