7. Validation Rules

The validation rules are used to control what is available for selection to a certain user. The rules can be used for any type of field in a column by selecting it in the Dynamic Validation field in the Column tab of the Table and Column window. The field is displayed if you have selected Table Direct in the Reference field.These are defined in the Validation Rules window, found in the Application Dictionary menu, by filling in the fields: Name, Description, Entity Type and Type and entering the Code.
