The first step in generating a request for quotation is creating topics. This is done using the RfQ Topic window from the Procurement -> RfQ menu. An RfQ topic represents a list of vendors which are invited to respond to a request for quotation. The following fields are available:
Self Service - allows users to subscribe to this topic through the Web Store;
Print Format - select a print format used when printing the corresponding request for quotation;
In the Subscriber tab you can manage the vendors subscribed to the topic. These vendors will be able to respond to a request for quotation with this topic. The following fields are available:
Vendor, Vendor Location - select a business partner and it's location;
Vendor Contact - select a contact for the business partner. The contact's email address will be used when sending emails using the Create & Invite process from the RfQ window;
Subscribe Date, Opt-out Date - updated by the system if the business partner subscribed through the WebStore;
The Restriction tab is used to define the product or product category for which the vendor is allowed make offers. If no restrictions are defined, the vendor can make offers for all products.
