Role Access Update is a process that updates the access rights of a role or all of the tenant's roles to windows, forms, processes and workflows. It should been run whenever a new item is added to the main menu (e.g. Window, Form, Workflow, Report or Process) or if the Title Deed is altered (e.g. from all (*) Organizations to a Title Deed specific to an Organization).
Note: The role is updated only if the Manual checkbox has not been checked.
To run the Role Access Update process, go to Main Menu -> System Admin -> General Rules -> Security.
Select a Tenant in order to run this process. If the System was selected, then all the roles for all the tenants (except for those denoted as Manual) will be updated
Select a Role or leave the field empty to update all the Tenant's Roles
When the process is completed, a message indicating the record update is displayed.
The Copy Role process from the System Admin -> General Rules -> Security menu will copy all the settings from a role and apply them to an existing role.
Role - select the source role;
Role To - select the destination role, where the settings will be copied;
Tenant, Organization - the new setting will be limited for the tenant and organization selected here.
Starting with 16.04 the process is no longer available in the standard menu of SocrateCloud.
