Physical Description: Tengu resemble a humanoid-like crow people. They are thin, quick, and tend to hunch over which makes them look even shorter than they really are.
Associated Class: Tengu like to become Rogues or Alchemists, using their attuned intellect and quick reactions to their advantage.
Associated Religions: Tengu tend to worship Kayan or other trickster deities.
History: Crow-like youkai who inhabit more forested and temperate regions, traditionally they stayed in smaller groups and preferred to intermingle with other species for protection. They are, however, adverse to those smaller than them due to an enmity between themselves and Halflings. A few Tengu rose to more prominent positions of power in larger kingdoms, becoming politicians and making their kind generally associated with regal appearances and nobility.
In Morta IV: Most modern Tengu see themselves as superior to other people (and even other Tengu depending on their level of skill and arrogance) and have garnered a lot of scorn and ridicule for their insulting demeanor. This is sometimes used for better purposes such as some Tengu preferring to take the 'nobility' angle to heart and instead seeing themselves as a rightful protector of others because of their superiority, though this still can garner some ire from those the Tengu may brag to.
