Morta IV is a dangerous place, and having a way to defend oneself is usually a good idea. Many different types of weapons exist. Different classes allow characters to use different weapons, such as the Soldier or Rogue. Weapons in this will be separated by proficiency type, starting with simple.Superior: Superior quality weapons are made with incredible craftsmanship. They give their wielder a +1 bonus to attack when wielding the weapon.
Superior weapons cost twice the normal cost of a weapon.
Magical weapons are already considered to be of "Superior Quality" and thus the bonuses don't stack.
Simple
Sword
Polearm
Axe
Hammer
Cudgels and club-like weapons are also considered hammers.
Bow
Pistol
Rifle
Shotgun
Exotic
Negative Penetration increases the target's Deflection against this weapon's attacks rather than decreases it. This doesn't affect foes without Deflection.
Note on Bladed Array: The Bladed Array is a strange device attached to one’s back, floating six individual swords through a combined use of magic, and magnetic manipulation. These swords can be operated manually, or thrown.
GMs are free to include Laser Swords, Chainswords, and Twin Laser Swords as "Sword Proficiency" instead and Power Hammers as "Hammer proficiency" instead. Normally however they are listed as Exotic.
Grenade
Grenades are Simple weapons, and can be used by anyone. They also count as their own weapon classification for Weapon Focus and similar effects which ask for a weapon type.
Grenades do not have an "ammunition" associated with them. They are bought individually like thrown weapons.
Siege
Siege weapons take a full-round action to reload. This is reduced to a standard for a crew of 2-4, or a move for a crew of 5-10. The crew listed is the minimum required to effectively operate the weapon.
Siege weapons are their own proficiency, and are not "Exotic". All ranged siege weapons have Ammo of 1 int.
