Physical Description: Small in stature, these impish fae-like creatures have curly reddish hair and a wide smile that naturally stretches from ear to ear. Their appearance is similar to an Irishmen and a leprechaun together, however they appear much slimmer than leprechauns and with more of a natural 'refined' look.
Associated Class: The Minstrel class is the most attuned to the powers and skills touted by the Gancanagh, however Rogues and Forgers do equally as well in some cases.
Associated Religions: Gancanagh tend to give reverence Bríg due to her focus on fertility and poetry, two things the Gancanagh see as inherently sacred.
History: Gancanagh inhabited what is now modern day Ireland when the region was known as Doggerland, before arcane magic was banished from Earth along with all of the non-human species. The Gancanagh took to seducing prehistoric women and men, typically targeting those who would easily be charmed by their natural good looks and refined nature. Gancanagh are said to shapeshift to the sex which best matches the preference of their "prey", shifting between male and female in order to best seduce those who are their targets. Their reasons for seduction and sex are rooted in the creation of more Gancanagh and also as a social bonding. When creating children, the mother is always impregnated with twins - one a member of their species, and the other a Gancanagh.
In Morta IV: In modern times Gancanagh are one of the more common fae-like creatures who show their faces. Their inherently good nature and charming personalities rewards them with many friends, but also rivals who wish to compete or destroy them. Very few Gancanagh use their seductive skills for harmful purposes such as rape, and those that do are seen as outcasts and deplorable individuals. They are very sensitive when referred to as midgets or leprechauns, more-so the former as with the latter they'll respectfully try to correct them - if the individual doesn't already know that is. Prestigious Gancanagh use their charm and wit to try their hand at politics and business, seeing it akin to a game or challenge rather than as a means to seize power.
