Prerequisites: Mage level 10+, Magic or Resistance 8+, any Magic Feat
Class Abilities
Spellcasting Mastery
Archmages continue to advance in spellcasting levels as a Mage. For every level they gain as an Archmage they instead gain 2 spells instead of 1 spell.
Spell Enhancement
At 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter the Archmage gains access to powers they can use to amplify their spells. These are similar to Magic Feats, but are specific to the Archmage. Each Spell Enhancement can be taken additional times, increasing their uses per encounter by 1 each time.
Mana Vortex: This can be applied to a spell as a swift action, and upon doing so this decreases the spell's MP by 4. If this reduces the spell to 0 MP cost or lower, it remains at 0 MP cost. This can be done once per encounter for each time this Enhancement is taken.
Spell's Overflow: This can be applied to a spell as a swift action, and upon doing so this spell increases its damage by +2k2. If this spell deals static damage (such as Force Bolt) it increases the damage by +1. This can be done once per encounter for each time this Enhancement is taken.
Wand Enhancement: When this is taken, the Archmage can spend a use of a wand in order to grant a spell a bonus equal to Spell Level + Wand Uses. Additional uses can be spent from the wand to grant a larger bonus. This can be used once per encounter for each time this Enhancement is taken.
Unerring Spell: This can be applied to a spell as a swift action, this spell bypasses Spell Resistance entirely. This can be done once per encounter for each time this Enhancement is taken.
Piercing Spell: This can be applied to a spell as a move action, this spell bypasses all forms of Resistances and Immunity. This can be done once per encounter for each time this Enhancement is taken.
Readied Spell: The Archmage can use one of their spells on an attack of opportunity, treating their reach as being 2 squares or equal to their melee reach (whichever is higher).
Sage's Empowerment
The Archmage reduces the cost of spells except for the spells of the highest spell level they can cast. This cannot reduce the cost of spells to 0 or below.
Magical Retribution
The Archmage can attempt to parry spells using their Resistance in place of your Agility as per a Dodge. On a successful parry, the spell is redirected back at the caster as if they had cast it (but still using their attack roll and damage modifiers).
Spell Resistance
The Archmage receives Spell Resistance equal to 15 + Resistance + 1/4 Luck. This is only against enemy spells, and allied spells and their own spells go unaffected.
