Physical Description: Taller than Goblins but still shorter than other humanoids, Hobgoblins are green-skinned and usually heavily scarred due to their societies' focus on fighting and combat. They tend to have black or gray hair, and piercing yellow eyes which are similar to a cat's.
Associated Class: Due to their unnaturally tough hides and ability to shrug off damage, Hogoblins are often classes which rely on physical combat such as the Infected Host, Soldier, or Steam Knight.
Associated Religions: Focused intensely on war and combat, Hobgoblins often worship deities who follow the path of war such as Tyr.
History: Diverging from Goblins long ago, Hobgoblins were once a society of Goblins who grew slightly taller than their brethren, but were otherwise the same as the other greenskins. The society they formed however favored those taller than the typical Goblins, and inbreeding between families was incredibly common. This led to deformities down the line but also strengthened their taller genes, allowing Hobgoblins to grow taller on average. As they diverged further, Hobgoblins threatened their smaller kin which led to constant conflict and wars.
In Morta IV: Hobgoblins in modern times have a negative reputation due to their constant attraction towards combat and warfare, causing trouble with other species (especially Goblins and Orcs), creating trouble. Despite this negativity, most Hobgoblins don't care too much about what other non-Hobgoblins think of them.
