Spellcasters devoted to inflicting pain onto foes through the use of mental and emotional means, scarring their psyche and bodies alike.
Pain Origin
A Pain Mage must take the Mystic Mage's Origin, however the following abilities are replaced where it is listed, otherwise use the Mystic Origin.
Pain Origin Abilities
4th Level: When casting a Psychic spell which deals Psychokinetic damage, the opponent is staggered for 1 round if they take 5 or more damage (after Soak is applied).
8th Level: Pain Mages gain bonus HP equal to Magic and Resistance added together.
16th Level: Psychic spells which affect Mental Defense can alternatively affect Bodily Defense if chosen to do so. This must be chosen before the spell is cast.
This alters Mage's Origin.
Pain Tolerance
Mages receive a bonus equal to 1/2 their level on their Bodily Defense, and 1/4 their level added to Mental Defense against spells.
This replaces Esoteric Resistance.
