Fear Liath

Physical Description: Creatures which are tall, man-sized beasts than resemble the fabled Sasquatch. They have red eyes and brown fur, and surround themselves with a heavy fog when enemies are nearby in order to confuse and disorient them, leading to many not knowing what they truly look like.

Associated Class: Fear Liath do well as psychic spellcasters, or as Rogues hiding away through the use of their magical fog they can conjure.

Associated Religions: Most Fear Liath aren't religious, and do not have their own native religion to themselves. Those who are religious adopt the religion from other cultures instead.

History: Originally residing in Scotland the Fear Liath used to roam the highlands, remaining solitary and using their fog to scare off others. When being taken to Morta IV, they remained as solitary entities typically roaming among various planets and seeking to be alone for the remainder of their life.

In Morta IV: Modern Fear Liath have been coming out of their shell more often, venturing out from their solitary lifestyle in order to seek more exciting lives rather than remaining nomadic hermits who live and die alone.

  • Fog Aura: As a swift action once per encounter a Fear Liath can surround itself in a 4 square aura of fog. This functions as Smoke without the choking effect, instead only functioning for the purpose of concealment. All creatures within the fog have concealment, and the fog lasts for 1 round per point of Endurance the Fear Liath has.
  • Psychic Attunement: Fear Liath receive a single natural attack. This natural attack is a ranged psychokinetic attack that uses their Smarts for to-hit and damage. The attack is called “Psi-Assault”, has a range of 6 squares, and a base damage (before Smarts) of 2k2. This goes against Mental Defense.
