Enforcers working under a religious sect or group, Inquisitors are seen enforcing the will of a master or god and slaying those who would oppose them.
Spellcasting
This functions as the Battlemage’s regular spellcasting, except they draw from the Divine spell list instead of the Arcane spell list.
In addition to this the Inquisitor must choose Holy or Unholy devotion like a Chaplain, however the Devotion bonus is instead equal to 1/2 level, and doesn’t increase or decrease based on sins committed or doing favorable actions for a deity.
Justice's Iron Grip
As a full-round action you can two-weapon fight using your weapon in one hand (including natural weapons/unarmed) and an open palm in the other. You can make all of your regular attacks at a -2 penalty, and finally an unarmed strike using your Magic for to-hit at no penalty. If the unarmed strike hits, all of the opponent’s movement speeds are reduced to 0 until their next turn.
This replaces Dual Casting Combat.
Dutiful Purge
You can bathe your weapons in a light (holy) or dark (unholy) flame in order to destroy those who would oppose you. Doing this is a swift action and lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1 + Magic, and for all effects that apply to a Crusader’s Purge, this functions as the Purge class feature.
While Dutiful Purge is active you receive a bonus to-hit and damage equal to 1/2 level. This can only be active once per encounter.
This replaces Spellstrike.
Justice Gifts
You receive Deific Gifts instead of Arcane Tutelage. You cannot choose a Deific Gift that would give you Divine spellcasting (such as the Clergyman choice).
This replaces Arcane Tutelage.
Staying Palm
Instead of reducing move speed with Justice’s Iron Grip, you paralyze a foe until their next turn. This does not count them as helpless, but deals all of the normal penalties of paralysis otherwise.
This replaces Esoteric Combat.
First Awakening
When casting a spell that deals damage and that damage is aligned with your chosen Devotion, increase the damage by +4.
Heroic Awakening
Dutiful Purge can be used a number of times per day equal to 1/2 your Magic instead of the normal restriction of once per encounter.
