Individuals who have ventured too far have caught a glimpse behind the folds of reality and were met with the ultimate truth - Chaos. This information tears the mind asunder, leaving them to wander...seeking to fulfill an ever-changing and obscure purpose supposedly as part of the plan of 'Chaos'.
Emotionless Bloodlust
By activating this ability, the Mad Maverick is able to go into a cold and detached state, killing those who they deem as obstacles. While under this effect, they are immune to fear effects and cannot be affected by non-magic debilitating conditions which would hinder their movement (such as staggered).
Mad Mavericks receive a bonus to attack and damage equal to their level while in this state, and receive a penalty to all Defenses equal to their level as well. Activating this ability is a swift action, and its effects last for one minute. They can use this ability 1 + Luck times per day.
Abilities which reference Purge also work on Emotionless Bloodlust, but only while it is active.
This replaces Purge.
Divine Focus
Fueled by an intense disdain for their foes, the Mad Maverick becomes skilled at predicting their next moves and acting accordingly. They receive a bonus on Dodge and Parry checks equal to half their level.
This replaces Divine Defenses.
Aura of Fear
All enemies within 4 squares of the Mad Maverick take a penalty to Mental Defense equal to the Mad Maverick's Luck + 1. Against fear effects, this penalty is doubled.
This replaces Fearless.
Aura of Calm
All allies within 4 squares of the Mad Maverick receive a bonus to Mental Defense equal to the Mad Maverick's Luck + 1. Against fear effects, this bonus is doubled.
This replaces Light of Faith.
Beacon of Warding
This functions as Beacon Righteousness except that allies instead receive a +4 bonus to all Defenses, and a +1 bonus on Dodge/Parry checks.
This alters Beacon of Righteousness.
Absorb Injuries
This functions as Serve the Weak except instead of granting the ally Deflection, you take the damage the ally would've taken. Apply the allies' Soak, not your own when using this ability. This can also be used to take status effects such as bleed or sickened for an ally. Your immunity is counted in this case.
This alters Serve the Weak.
