Esoteric warriors who focus on the practice of martial arts and unarmed combat, these Battlemages prefer their fists over measly material weapons.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Open-Hand Casters do not gain Armor Proficiency, and only receive proficiency in Simple weapons. To supplement this however they receive Martial Arts as a bonus feat.
Open-Hand Caster's unarmed strike gain bonus damage similar to the Infected Host's unarmed strikes.
Tornado Palm
As a full-round action the Open-Hand Caster can punch in front of them, unleashing a burst of magical energy in front of them which blows their enemies away. This is a 4 square cone which does one of two effects when the attack is made.
Blowback: If this is chosen, an unarmed strike versus the Avoid of all enemies within the cone is made, and those successfully hit are forcibly moved directly backwards a number of squares equal to 1/2 your level + Magic (minimum of 2 sq.), if this would push them into a solid object or another creature they take 1 point of bludgeoning damage bypassing Soak.
Wind Cutter: If this is chosen, a spell attack versus the Avoid of all enemies within the cone is made, and those successfully hit take a number of Wind damage equal to your unarmed strike damage. On a failed hit, it deals half damage instead.
This replaces Dual Casting Combat.
Mystic Defenses
This functions as Arcane Armor except the Deflection gained is equal to double Resistance while no armor is worn, and this Deflection is lost if armor is worn.
This alters Arcane Armor.
