The Gothi are priests and priestesses of the Norse faith, practicing in both Rune and Nature magic in order to fully utilize their skills.
Spellcasting
The Gothi are able to cast spells from both the Nature and Rune spell lists. Doing so limits their maximum spell level to 4th level spells, unable to reach the maximum spell level (5th).
This alters Spellcasting and replaces Form Shift.
Mental Shield
For each rank of Natural Defenses the Gothi would get, they instead receive a +1 bonus to all Defenses against spells (maximum of +6 at 18th level).
This alters Natural Defenses.
Norse Aspect
Gothi are able to channel the spirits of their ancestors and those from Valhalla. These spirits guide their actions and strengthen them.
4th Level: Gothi receive a bonus 4 + (1/4 Level) to MP, and gains this every 4 levels thereafter (max +35 MP at 20th level).
8th Level: Gothi receive Psychokinetic Resistance and Earth Resistance equal to 5 + the Gothi's Resistance (minimum 1).
12th Level: Once per encounter the Gothi can have the spirits of their ancestors absorb lethal damage for them, reducing damage (after Deflection/Soak) by 1 until their next turn.
16th Level: As a standard action the Gothi can unleash a burst of spiritual energy, making an attack using Magic against the Mental Defense of all foes within 6 squares, and on a successful hit the foes take 1 point of Magic and Resistance damage. This can be used (2 + the Gothi's Magic) times per day.
20th Level: The Gothi receive a +1 to Soak, and are immune to ability damage.
This replaces Animal Aspect.
Heroic Awakening
The Gothi are able to cast spells without provoking attacks of opportunity, and are able to provoke attacks of opportunity with spells they have which target adjacent foes.
Unchained Awakening
When making attacks using spells, the Gothi receive a bonus to hit equal to half their level. Spells which apply bonuses instead increase their bonus by 1/4 the Gothi's level.
