Pasta Shuta

For 1 lb ziti, mostacioli, etc.

Brown

1 sliced onion

1 clove garlic

in

olive oil

Then further brown it with

about 1 lb chopped chuck roast (not ground beef!)

Add (optional)

1 chopped chick breast, skinned

and brown that, too.

Add

1 small can tomato paste

1 15 oz can chicken broth

1 15 oz can water

salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Paprika to cover top of sauce (2t?)

Cinnamon to cover top of sauce (2t?)

Nutmeg, somewhat less (1/4 tsp)

Then add

1 finely chopped red bell pepper

1/2 lb sliced mushrooms

Optional:

Toss in a pot-roast here; add a little liquid to nearly cover it

Finally:

Lots of chopped parsley (1/2cup?)

Cook about 3 hours
