Science - Finish Lesson 3 Check if you did not complete it in class.

English -- The How-To Article assignment is due on Tuesday, 11/28. Today, students are bringing home their first draft, textbooks, and a student self-assessment to be used as they complete this project. We did content editing in class today and discussed all the steps needed to complete their work. Students need to continue to follow the steps of Revising, Copyediting, Proofreading, and Publishing at home, They should reference text pages 280-285 as they work, using the checklists in their book. Examples of How-To Articles can be found in their text from pages 254-276. Parents, please help your child proofread their work and remind them that all 5 parts of a How-To Article must be included. They can turn in their finished work early if they'd like, or complete it over the Thanksgiving break, especially if they are writing about a delicious Thanksgiving recipe and want to practice the recipe at home! I told the class that I am expecting greatness. When work is ready to be turned in, please return all written work from the prewriting through final copy. Students may choose to write their final work neatly in erasable pen on looseleaf paper or use a word processing program, but it should be their own work to complete it.
