A few things to note right away...

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

There will be much more information to come, but as we get started, here are a few things to note:

School begins Tuesday, 8/22. The doors open at 7:50 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:00. 3rd graders should line up outside the main office doors near the statue, behind the younger children. Please don't enter the building until after the little ones make their way in. Be polite and a good example for them.

For our first week of school, dismissal is at 1:30 p.m. We will have lunch each day, but FSP hot lunches don't start right away, so please bring your lunch and a cool drink.

Students may wear their P.E. uniform and gym shoes to school every day the first week, due to the warm classrooms. They may also bring a spillproof water bottle to keep at their seat and stay hydrated. Water only, please!

Here is our Specials Schedule: (Specials begin on the first day of school)

Monday P.E.

Tuesday P.E. and Music

Wednesday Spanish and Art

Thursday Library and Music

Friday Computers

Birthday Treats are great, but please coordinate with me by email, as we have a couple of health issues to work around in our classroom this year. Thanks for your cooperation with this!

Feel free to contact me through my school email loconnell@stlinusschool.org any time you have a question or concern. I try to check my email at least once during the school day, but if you need to get a message to me right away, please contact Mrs. Delisi in the office and ask her to pass it along.

I'm excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year. 3rd grade can be challenging but I have no doubt that your children are up for it. Our class theme will revolve around kindness and respect for ourselves and each other. We are beginning a brand new Interactive Science curriculum and continue to upgrade our classroom technology, thanks to the support of our FTC, and you. It's going to be a wonderful year!
