Post date: Mar 23, 2020 2:09:06 AM

MONDAY'S WORK:

Remember to take some breaks between assignments to move, snack, and play. Don't try to do it all in one sitting!

READING & LITERACY SKILLS

Our theme of being responsible friends and neighbors is a good one during this time when we are all doing our best to keep each other healthy and safe. Look at pgs. 288-289 in your Reader and think about these questions:

*Why is it important for the police officers on horseback to communicate with each other?

*How are the children in the smaller photos helping others?

*Why do you think people appreciate being helped?

Choose at least one of these questions to write a response in your Journal.

Our Phonics and Spelling work this week will focus on the consonant patterns ph, gh, ck, ng. Reader pgs. 290-291 will introduce their sounds and give you some practice with them. Then you can complete Reading WB p. 421.

Spelling words for this week are:

phone

backtrack

laugh

ticket

duckling

graph
