In English, we are in the middle of our first Writing Workshop and are creating personal narratives. Drafts will be coming home during the week for some editing, proofreading, and finally, publishing after we discuss these important steps in class.
In Math, we are learning different strategies to help us solve 2-digit addition problems. We have used hundred charts, open number lines, breaking apart the addends, and compensation. We will continue to practice using these tools and be ready for our Topic 3 assessment by the end of the week.
If you are interested in ordering from the Scholastic Books catalog sent home last week, please be mindful of the due date of Oct. 10. Thanks!
